“Il cuore della scienza: le storie degli scienziati che scelgono l’Italia”
Marino was invited to participate to an event hosted by the President of the Italian Senate Pietro Grasso at Palazzo Giustiniani and organized by the Fondazione Armenise-Harvard and Senator Elena Cattaneo, on November 10, 2014 in Rome. The event named “Il cuore della scienza: le storie degli scienziati che scelgono l’Italia” (“The heart of science: Stories of scientists, who choose Italy”) was attended by top scientists coming from different places in Italy and served as a forum to discuss how to promote science in Italy.
The aims of the meeting were the following:
• Promote scientific research in Italy and make scientific research more approachable for politicians, investors and journalists
• Present the Giovanni Armenise-Harvard Foundation’s role and contributions to the Italian scientific community
• Present the Career Development Awardees’ work (and experiences) to a wider public and the press
